Datos del autor del proyecto

Steven Holl

Steven Holl nació en 1947 en Bremerton, Washington. Se graduó de la Universidad de Washington y cursó estudios de arquitectura en Roma en 1970. En 1976 asistió a la Architectural Association de Londres y estableció Steven Holl Architects en Nueva York.
Steven Holl ha dado cuenta de proyectos culturales, cívicos, académicos y residenciales, tanto en los Estados Unidos como a nivel internacional. Su Notable trabajo incluye el Museo Kiasma de Arte Contemporáneo de Helsinki, Finlandia (1998), la Capilla de San Ignacio, Seattle, Washington (1997), y el Museo Nelson-Atkins de Arte (2007).

Dentro de sus proyectos más reciente se encuentra el Linked Irbid, complejo de uso mixto en Beijing, China (2009), el Centro de Knut Hamsun en Hamarøy, Noruega (2009) , El Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Herning en Herning, Dinamarca (2009), y el rascacielos horizontal en Shenzhen, China (2009),Steven Holl es profesor de la Escuela de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Columbia. Ha dictado conferencias, realizado numerosas exposiciones y publicado numerosos textos tales como Anchoring (1989), Parallax (2000), Idea and Phenomena (2002), y Luminosity/Porosity (2006). Dentro de sus publicaciones más recientes se encuentran Urbanisms: Working With Doubt (Princeton Architectural Press, 2009) and Hamsun Holl Hamarøy (Lars Müller, 2010).
